- How do I Choose the Right Size Airless Sprayer for My Project?
Choosing the right size airless sprayer depends on your project’s scale and weight of the material you want to spray. Smaller machines offer increased mobility and easier handling. They have limited material volumes and weights that they can spray. This makes them perfect for smaller jobs like touch-ups or detailed works with lighter weight materials. Larger, more powerful sprayers are versatile machines that can handle both small areas and lighter materials however they are also able to efficiently cover larger areas and handle heavier, thicker materials. This makes them ideal for bigger projects, or where you need to spray heavier, more demanding, coatings.
Common Issues
Do you spend too much money on repairs? I see many airless pumps in for repair due to incorrect operation and procedures. We have many Airless Troubleshooting Documents on a variety of issues:
- Spray Gun Spitting
Spitting are little droplet that are formed after the trigger is released. Its a function of the volume of paitn after the valve, pressure and the paint tip used and by adjusting these parameters you can greatly improve the quality of the paint job. - Spray Tip Blocking
Blocking is often caused by debris or dried paint, can be resolved by using a reversible spray tip to clear the blockage or by removing the tip and cleaning it. Things like straining the material and replacing filters can also be done to help prevent future clogs. - Spray Tip Tailing
Tailing is a misformed spay fan that causes an uneven spray pattern. It is caused by a mismatch between pressure, flow volume, paint viscocity and paint tip used. Fine-tuning these settings will lead to a noticeable improvement in the overall finish of the paint job.
